Vision: To create a society that is free from all forms of violence and which promotes human dignity, equality and justice.
Mission: To raise awareness of domestic violence, promote dialogue and partnerships within families, the community and the wider country, and to intervene to ensure the protection of female and child victims of violence and human trafficking, achieve justice for them, maintain their dignity and provide them with a safe haven.
What Aman Shelter for Women and Children stands for:
Aman Shelter exists to end domestic abuse and human trafficking by:
- Providing support services for survivors of domestic violence around the Emirate.
- Working closely with Federal Government and our partners to create a system that responds to survivors’ needs.
We place survivors at the heart of everything we do. This means that:
- We promote and deliver a needs-led and strength-based response to survivors.
- We offer a safe space for victims to open up about their experiences.
- We work to understand the diversity of survivors’ needs and to take action.
