Aman Shelter for Women and Children provides care and support to victims of violence and human trafficking in Ras Al Khaimah, based on the Emirate’s commitment to safeguarding the rights of women and children.

The Shelter was established on February 15, 2017, under the Emiri Decree No. 3 of 2017, as a means to help create a violence-free society.

The Shelter’s mandate includes providing a range of services, such as care, rehabilitation and empowerment, for female and child victims of violence and human trafficking. Its comprehensive range of services include rehabilitation programs, health and social support, in addition to providing safe shelter.

To fulfil its objectives, the Shelter works with a number of local and international organizations and charities, including the UN Refugee Agency, which helps in cases where victims cannot return to their home countries.
